Mountain Men's Retreat

April 20-22, 2018

Men and High School Aged Sons

Calling all Mountain Men!

Come to Sugar Pine this Spring and learn what it means to be a “Warrior!” Inspirational worship and teaching will get you ready to face life’s battles in God’s strength. Compete in our “Warrior Mountain Men” Games featuring hatchet-throwing, axe-chucking, dart-blowing and more! There will also be plenty of fishing, loads of great food, our brand new high ropes course and fun competitions. There is something powerful about men gathering together in the mountains. Take a break from the noise and familiarity of everyday life to connect with God and with other men at Sugar Pine’s Mountain Men Retreat.

Meet your Mountain Men Speaker, Forrest Jenan.

Forrest is excited to be joining us at Sugar Pine for our Mountain Men’s Retreat this spring! Forrest is committed to placing Jesus at the absolute center of everything. With an engaging, thought-provoking, and often humorous style of communication, Forrest has continually impacted and challenged the hearts of those seeking to live more like Jesus everyday.

Forrest Jenan currently serves as Lead Pastor at Neighborhood Church in Visalia, along with his wife Katie, and their two daughters Emma and Alice. Prior to his current role as Lead Pastor of Neighborhood, Forrest spent the last 20+ years serving the greater Central Valley area of California as a pastor to students and young adults. He has been the speaker at many camps such as Hume Lake, Thousand Pines, Hartland and Sugar Pine, and has shared the stage with forward-thinking communicators at more conferences and churches than he can count.

Meet your Mountain Men Worship Leader, Casey Lucas.

Casey Lucas is returning with his band to Sugar Pine’s Mountain Men’s Retreat again this spring. Casey’s great music and authentic faith have helped people connect with God in worship, not just at Sugar Pine, but also at churches on the California Central Coast and in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas for the past 13 years! He has a passion for leading others into the presence of God and to see them experience the goodness of God and His unfailing love.

Casey and his wife Alyssa have owned The Cool Bean Cafe in Oakhurst for over 8 years. They enjoy creating a welcoming environment where all can receive some daily kindness—in addition to a tasty cup of coffee! They are parents to a beautiful girl named Reeve, and when they aren’t working they enjoy hiking, snowboarding, reading and drinking crazy amounts of coffee.
