Mission Statement

The mission of Camp Sugar Pine is to:

“Impact lives for Christ through exceptional camping experiences.”

Statement of Belief

The ministries of Sugar Pine Christian Camps are firmly founded upon the following biblical doctrines:

  • We believe in one God. He is Creator and Lord, who reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
  • We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, to be truly God and truly man, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified on the cross for our sins, raised from the dead for our salvation, and ascended to the Father to intercede for us. Jesus will return to this earth to complete God's loving purpose.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. The Spirit enlightens and empowers the Christian and the church for worship, evangelism and service. The Holy Spirit exalts Jesus Christ.
  • We believe the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments were written by men, divinely inspired by God. We hold the Bible to be the authority in all matters of faith and conduct. The standard by which the Bible is to be interpreted is Jesus Christ.
  • We believe the church to be the Body of Christ, called by God to be His people, living a life of faith, obedience, and love. The church is commissioned to proclaim the gospel to all people.
  • We believe that all people are created in the image of God and that by free choice people sin against God and thereby incur spiritual separation from God.
  • We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ into their lives are born again of the Holy Spirit and become a new creation in Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the resurrection of believers in Jesus Christ unto eternal life and with God, and the resurrection of unbelievers unto eternal separation from God in hell.
  • We believe it is the commission and privilege of every Christian to seek and to bring the lost to a saving experience with Jesus Christ.
